Our Story

Charlottetown’s premiere Beer Garden is situated on the legendary Hunter’s Corner. Built as a two storey house in the mid-1800’s, the property eventually became Johnny’s Mayfair Tearoom Restaurant – owned and operated by PEI Sports Hall of Fame member John Squarebriggs. Several businesses were later housed in the building, including a bicycle shop and a tattoo parlour. In March of 2007, this historic landmark burned to the ground in a spectacular blaze but the two adjacent buildings were spared. In 2015, Red Island Hospitality Group purchased all three properties and the dream of Charlottetown Beer Garden & Seafood Patio became a reality.

our-story

Today

Our focus is a combination of regional microbrew, domestic and premium draught, wine and sangria, and fresh, local seafood. The Beer Garden’s heated and canopied patio with seating for 200 provides the perfect backdrop for traditional music on summer evenings and months of alfresco enjoyment. Late night we take it indoors to the nightclub for live late night shows, DJs, and dancing.
